On April 4, 1973, New York City's skyline changed forever with the dedication of the World Trade Center. The twin towers, each soaring 110 stories high, symbolized economic power, architectural ambition, and America’s post-war confidence. Designed by Minoru Yamasaki, their minimalist and bold structure redefined urban design. The towers became icons not only of finance, but also of pop culture, appearing in countless films, photographs, and artworks.

Though their story ended tragically in 2001, on this day they stood tall—brand new and full of promise. The skyline had two new stars.
